Can AI answer questions people ask under my posts?

Yes, on Pro and Scale. When someone asks a question under your post, the AI drafts a short public answer from your own facts, and by default you approve it before it posts.

Why this matters

“How much?”, “Do you ship to Canada?”, “When is the next class?” The same questions arrive under every post. An unanswered question is often a lost customer, and other people read the answer too. Replavia drafts these answers for you.

Which comments count as questions

A comment counts as a question when it:

  • has a question mark anywhere, or
  • starts with a question word, such as how, what, when, where, can, do, is, price or cost.

“Love it, how much is it?” counts as a question, not as praise. Questions are always answered with facts, never with a saved thank-you.

Comments it does not answer

  • Comments that match one of your comment automations. The automation handles those.
  • Replies inside a thread. Only first-level comments get an AI reply.
  • Your own comments.
  • Comments on live videos.
  • Comments with links, many @mentions, or more than 500 characters.
  • Complaints, with words like “scam”, “refund”, “broken” or “worst”. Answer those yourself.
  • People who replied STOP to you, or people you blocked in Replavia.

Where the answer comes from

The AI answers only from facts you supplied:

  • web pages and documents in your knowledge library, and
  • your What you offer, Do's and don'ts and FAQ the agent can answer in the AI Agent tab of Lead Inbox.

It picks the facts that best match the question. It writes one or two short sentences, in the language of the comment.

When the answer is not in your facts

The AI writes nothing. It is not allowed to guess or answer from general knowledge. The comment then shows as Failed on the Recent activity tab, and nothing is posted. You can still answer it yourself.

If you see the same unanswered question again and again, add the answer to your facts. See how the AI stays on your facts.

Approving the answer

By default, each answer waits on the Review queue tab with a Question label. Read it, change the words if needed, and click Approve & post. You can also let answers post on their own. See review modes.

How to get better answers

  1. Look at the questions people actually ask under your posts.
  2. Add a clear FAQ entry or a page for each common one. Include prices, times, places and limits.
  3. Add what you do not offer, too. “No, we only ship within the US” is a useful answer.
  4. Read your first drafts closely. Every edit tells you which fact is missing or unclear.

A common mistake is turning AI replies on with no facts at all. Kind comments still get a thank-you, but most questions will be skipped.

Good to know

  • AI replies never include links, phone numbers or email addresses. To send someone a link, use a comment automation that sends a DM. See create an automation.
  • At most 10 replies an hour and 50 a day are drafted for each Instagram account. This stops a viral post from flooding your queue.
  • Each answer the AI writes uses one draft from your monthly allowance. See AI allowance and usage.
