Use Comment Shield. It collects scam, spam and abusive comments in one review inbox, where you hide them with one click on every plan, or delete them on Pro and Scale.
Open Comment Shield →Scam bots love busy posts. They leave fake giveaway links, “DM this account” messages and crypto offers under your content. Your real followers see them, and some may click.
The fix: Comment Shield
Comment Shield reads new comments on your posts and flags scams, spam, abuse and words you have blocked. Flagged comments go to one review inbox. You decide what happens to each one.
Clean up flagged comments
- Open Comment Shield in the menu, then the Moderation Inbox tab.
- Look under Needs review.
- For each comment, choose:
- Hide on Instagram hides it from public view right away. You can undo it.
- Unhide on Instagram makes it visible again.
- Delete on Instagram removes it for good. This is on Pro and Scale.
- Mark safe clears a false alarm.
- Comments you acted on move to Actioned / hidden.
Hide and unhide work on every plan, including Free.
Catch the same scams next time
Scam bots often repeat the same words. Add them as blocked words:
- Open the Rules tab.
- Give the rule a name, like “Fake giveaways”, and keep the type as Blocked keyword.
- Type the word or phrase, then click Add rule.
Free
- Blocked words
- Up to 50
Pro and Scale

| Pro and Scale | Up to 500 active rules |
Very short words can catch normal comments, so choose with care. For more options, see How Comment Shield catches spam comments.
What Comment Shield does not do
- It does not hide anything on its own. A comment changes on Instagram only when you click.
- It cannot hide or delete comments on a live video. Instagram does not allow it.
- It does not report accounts to Instagram, and it does not block them on Instagram. Block in Replavia only sends that person’s future comments to your review inbox. Stop DM also stops your automations messaging them.
- It does not screen your DMs.
To report or block a scam account on Instagram, use the Instagram app.
Good to know
- Genuine criticism is never hidden. At most, it is shown to you for review.
- There is a daily limit on Instagram actions from Replavia. If you reach it, hide the comment in the Instagram app instead.
