# What are Replavia’s sending limits?

> By default, each Instagram account sends up to 60 DMs an hour and 200 a day. On Pro and Scale you can raise this to 200 an hour and 2,000 a day.

- Topic: Account safety
- Plans: Free: limited · Pro: included · Scale: included. Free: 60 an hour, 200 a day. Pro and Scale can raise it to 200 and 2,000.

## The limits

| | Per hour | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| Default, every plan | 60 | 200 |
| Highest you can set (Pro and Scale) | 200 | 2,000 |

The limits are for each Instagram account, not for your whole Replavia account. If you run several brands, each one has its own limits.

These limits exist to keep your account inside Instagram’s own limits. A sudden burst of DMs is one of the clearest signs of a bot.

> The Free plan also has 1,500 DMs a month. Pro and Scale have no monthly limit, only this sending pace. See [What does the free plan include?](https://replavia.com/help/free-plan)

## New accounts warm up first

For its first 7 days, a newly connected account sends fewer DMs a day. The limit rises step by step over that week.

During warm-up you cannot change the limits. The **Account safety** page shows how many DMs a day the account can send right now.

## See where you are

Open **Account safety** in the menu. Each Instagram account has a card with two bars:

- **This hour** — DMs sent in the current hour, out of the limit.
- **Today** — DMs sent today, out of the limit.

The card says **Within safe limits** or **At limit**. The hour and the day reset on UTC time.

## Change your limits

1. Open **Account safety** and find the card for the account.
2. Type a number in **Per hour**, **Per day**, or both. Leave a box empty to use the default.
3. Click **Save limits**.

Any plan can lower a limit, for free. Raising a limit above 60 an hour or 200 a day needs Pro or Scale.

The daily limit is spread across the hours. So at 60 an hour, you cannot reach 2,000 in a day. Raise both together.

## What happens near and at the limit

At 80% of a limit, Replavia shows a warning on your **Overview** page. It names the account and says when sending starts again.

When an account reaches its limit, sending stops until the hour or the day resets. This is a safety limit working, not a fault.

Comments that arrive while sending is stopped get no reply and no DM. They are not saved to send later. The person is still saved in your Lead Inbox.

## Good to know

- The same person can still get a reply later. If they comment again after the limit resets, the automation answers as normal.
- Replies wait a short, random time before they go out. This also helps your account look like a person, not a bot.
- If your posts often hit the limit, raise it slowly. A big jump in DMs is riskier than a steady pace.
