# How the reply library works

> The reply library holds your own approved replies to kind comments on one Instagram account. Once it has 10, kind comments get a reply from your own words instead of new AI text, at no AI cost.

## What it is

When someone leaves a kind comment, like “love this!”, a warm thank-you is all it needs. The reply library lets you answer those comments in your own words.

It is part of AI comment replies, so it is on Pro and Scale. AI comment replies must be switched on for the account.

## How replies get into it

There are two ways:

- Every reply you approve to a kind comment is saved here on its own.
- You can add your own replies.

To add one, open **AI Replies** in the menu, then the **Reply library** tab. Type a reply under **Add a reply** and click **Add**. Each reply can be up to 280 characters.

Keep them general. Any reply in the library may answer any kind comment, so “Thank you so much!” works better than a reply about one post.

## When it starts working

The library starts working when an account has **10 different replies**. The meter on the page shows how many more you need.

From then on, kind comments on that account get a reply taken from the library. Replavia rotates them, so the same reply is not used again and again in a row.

These replies cost nothing from your monthly AI allowance. No AI writes them.

## Do library replies post on their own?

That depends on your choice in the **Settings** tab, under **Publishing**:

| **Auto-publish my saved replies — AI answers still wait for me** | Post on their own. |
| **Auto-publish everything, including AI answers** | Post on their own. |

Every reply still passes the brand-safety check and your limits before it posts.

## Good to know

- Questions never get a library reply. The AI always answers questions, using your [knowledge library](https://replavia.com/help/knowledge-library).
- Each library belongs to one Instagram account. It never crosses to another account.
- An account can hold up to 200 active replies.
- Each saved reply shows how many times it was used. Click **Remove** to delete one.
